The
RTP 2000 family of data acquisition and process control systems include the
RTP 2000 Analog PLC, RTP 2100 VMEbus Analog PLC, and RTP 2200 Hot Standby (redundant)
Analog PLC. RTP 2000 systems provide highly reliable acquisition and control using
RTP's proven analog, digital and specialty function I/O modules. Data exchange
for application development, operator interface, and peer-to-peer communications
occurs over a standard Ethernet TCP/IP network. Use of TCP/IP also permits easy
connectivity with other plant floor devices and enterprise systems. Additionally,
RTP's fast Windows DDE I/O server provides flexibility by allowing use of virtually
any current HMI.
The RTP 2000 incorporates all the features and functionality
common to the RTP 2000 family and supports RTP-standard bus
I/O and HSM I/O. The RTP 2100 implements RTP 2000 functionality
across a VMEbus system. RTP high density VMEbus I/O maximizes
the use of chassis real estate. The RTP 2200 hot standby solution
ensures virtually zero down time for mission-critical applications
through the use of dual controllers, power supplies, backplanes, and
I/O. Cost savings may be realised because, in addition to
the redundant I/O, non-redundant "common" I/O can
be used for non-critical applications. Bumpless failover and
non-intrusive re-initialisation are controlled by RTP's advanced
bus switch without the need for additional programming.
